Before the Conference and in partnership with
Inuksuk
(a french association dedicated to promoting knowledge of the
Inuit among the general public of francophone Europe and administrated by former INALCO students in Inuit Language and Culture),
participants were given the possibility to send one or more pictures expressing their relationship to the Arctic
During the Conference and for the following month the 40 pictures (printed and framed by the association)
were presented as a temporary exhibit entitled "Views on the Arctic" at the Espace culturel inuit de Paris,
Inuksuk's headquarters. After the Conference more pictures were sent to complete our photo album.
In order to respect people's privacy, pictures showing identifiable people other than the authors
themselves have been removed from the collection here presented.
We thank our partner Inuksuk for organizing the exhibition and allowing us to include it in the Proceedings.
